America's Trouble
The United States has two major problems.
One is America’s own interests. However, Venezuela is merely stringing the United States along. The Venezuelan military is a vested-interest group. The second problem is that Venezuela’s new government does not cooperate.
In the past, when the United States sent a governor to Libya, it immediately purged the bureaucrats of the old regime, which quickly triggered a civil war. Therefore, if you stay in the United States and do not enter Venezuela, nothing can be accomplished. But if you do enter Venezuela, you fall straight into a trap.
On the one hand, the new government pretends to cooperate with the United States; on the other hand, it hunts down internal traitors. The U.S. Democratic Party is very skilled at using the CIA. Libya was not resolved in 12 years—do you really think Trump can handle Venezuela?
Venezuela produces heavy crude oil, and only China uses it. Venezuela’s daily output is about 850,000 tons, all of which is sold to China. If the United States says Venezuela is not allowed to sell heavy crude to China, then who can it sell it to? The United States does not buy heavy crude oil anyway.
I was moved to tears seeing this celebration of Latino Culture in the U.S. I spent a lot of time in Latino neighborhoods in New York City and in Republica Dominicana, and I have visited Cuba and Puerto Rico and other Caribbean and Latino countries. This attention was so deserved and long overdue
