Cold

When i saw Chinese army went into Korean peninsula to fight with 16 countries United Nation's soliders in 1950. When the American troops retreated to Pratunam Bridge. There was no Bridge. They had 48 hours to make a bridge. Finally, American troops could retreated out in safe. Why were there 48 hours window period without Chinese troops attack? Actually, Chinese troops already stayed there waiting in the woods would ambush American troops. But it was under minus celsius 40, all 125 people were frozen to death. i remembered the first time i went to India to see Ba'Ba'. We, Taiwanese could not go to India. India didn't give us visa. What could we do? Ba'Ba' told me personally "go through Nepal". How did a Taiwanese understood how cold the weather would be in Nepal during winter time. One time, my parners, Tapesha, Sanjaya, Urmila etc they wanted to travel to the Southern Highway during Chinese New Year time. meaning that in February. I was not aware of the timing of the weather. Without any preparation, i traveled with them. The first day i found out. My God! There was no fun. We camped out in the first night. i felt so cold. i didn't have winter jacket. i couldn't sleep. So i sat up in a meditation mode. Until everyone woke up in the morning. i saw a puddle of water over my head. i went through every night in this way. When i arrived Tiljala, DaDa's LFT stole my only one whole wool sweater. How could i went through February in Nepal. Everynight, i sat on meditation until two o'clock. i got up and took a cold shower using a small candle. Becuase in Nepal, there was no electric power after 9:00 pm. I got up at 2:00 am in the morning. i took a cold shower. After shower i went to sat on meditation in the D.C. hall until two others joined me later on. We had akandha kiirtan everyday.
